I AM EELCO

Eelco van den berg (b. 1974) is a painter, muralist and illustrator based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In addition to creating artwork, he is also experienced as a guest lecturer for the illustration department at the school of visual arts. The Dutch multi-disciplinary street artist works both digital and analogue, creating psychedelic landscapes with the unique color palette he developed mostly on the streets. He got mesmerized by hip hop & graffiti during elementary school. This background history with the eighties skateboard graphics influence has been a big impact on his development in style. His work stands out with its strong use of color, motifs, and decorative illustrative elements in a surrealistic pop art style.
